Oshu Akiu Onsen Rantei

It is a rather commercial Onsen hotel. The Onsen was quite good - not exactly a good view but a very legit Onsen experience with a fair price. The location is a little bit far from Sendai. The traditional Japanese food at night was greatly executed. However, it only came with a very generic breakfast buffet - which was a little bit disappointing. The room was surprisingly huge - a little bit aged though. The staff can’t really communicate in English btw.

I used it when traveling with children. My impressions after staying here were that only the box (building) was impressive, but the contents (customer service) did not match the price. The room itself had a nice atmosphere and was clean. The food was delicious, and it was nice to be able to eat it in a semi-private room. However, I don't feel any hospitality. Although it is fine that there is no greeting (but the questionnaire placed in the guest room has a question asking ``Was there a greeting?''), the front desk staff at check-in had a ``warm smile''. It seems that it has nothing to do with things like ``I'm fine, welcome.'' Even when I asked questions, I was not good at explaining things, and the conversation didn't really click. Meal times were communicated incorrectly, and the waiter who made a mistake started apologizing to the higher-ups in front of us...(Normally, this is done out of sight of the customers. (It's not like I was warned about it.), and I often found myself thinking, "What?" in situations where I had to serve customers. There was a lot of customer service, but on the day of check-out, the staff who guided me to the shop, the front desk, and the car were very pleasant, and I was surprised at why there was such a difference in the level of the employees. I left the inn. There was only a modest baby space on the front floor, which made me wonder if it was certified as a baby-welcome hotel. If you are expecting a "baby welcome hotel", you will feel even more disappointed.

It was a three-day holiday, but One adult and two children, It was available for less than 30,000 yen. The room is also spacious. Good food and facilities, It was more wonderful than I imagined. I feel like there are many hot springs around here that are too hot for children to enter. It was helpful that the temperature of the hot spring was not too hot. I forgot to take a photo, I would like to go take pictures again next time! Akiu Onsen is close to central Sendai, It's charming, isn't it? It was very good!

At that point, I felt something was wrong, so I checked with the hotel staff (the person in charge of setting the futons and the front desk staff) and they said, ``They only change the sheets once a week.If you want to stay at a hotel where sheets are changed every day, you should stay at another luxury hotel.'' They said. Although this is a year-end price, this is an inn that costs 25,000 yen. I couldn't believe my ears. ■Correspondence ① New sheets were not set at the time of check-in. If it was a human error that happened by chance, I wouldn't even file a complaint, but looking at the subsequent response, I think it was part of the poor response. ② Openness to the fact that you are reusing duvet covers. This was said by the person in charge of setting the futon mentioned above. I was told to tell the front desk staff anything further, so I contacted the front desk to confirm whether they were reusing the covers (sheets). ③After 30 to 40 minutes, the front desk staff wearing a "Practical" badge came to the room. I couldn't believe my eyes because they treated me so dismissively, as if they didn't recognize it as a problem. They explained that they only change the comforter sheets once a week. Since there was nothing I could say to the new staff member, I asked them to call a senior person in charge. ④ After waiting for another hour, the landlady came, The manager was at home and said he would visit the next morning. The management was so bad that they had to wait 12 to 13 hours for a problem. I heard the next day that the manager was 30 minutes from his home. I thought you could come while I was waiting. ⑤When I asked the manager if they had been operating with this kind of sanitary management for a long time, I was told that they have not been changing the comforter sheets for at least a year. He said he didn't know before that. I was also surprised that they didn't investigate the past history while making me wait for 13 hours. ⑥False reporting within the company. I was wondering why there was such a delay in response, so I directly informed the manager of the time I had to wait and what had happened. However, there was a discrepancy between the facts of the incident and the report received by the manager. Based on the above, I understand that the company's hygiene management, troubleshooting was sloppy, and they had a tendency to hide things, and I would give this rating. The location is average.

It is for day use. There is an indoor bath and an outdoor bath, and the temperature is not too high so you can take a long bath. The tatami floor of the indoor bath also feels nice. The open air smells like cigarettes, probably because it's close to the smoking area outside. The quality of the spring water is typical of Akiu. I wonder if those who know will understand. It's a shame that the lockers for valuables are somewhat difficult to handle and many people get confused. The vending machines had regular prices and were reasonably priced, rather than the prices typical of tourist spots. There seems to be glamping and a pool, but I've never used them so I don't know.
